Blender to find a common base to exchange data? To me hierarchy export as well as materials, camera perspectives etc.
Are there any plans to improve the export functionality and/or to cooperate with e.g. In a relatively recent interview the founder of Blender mentioned problems with fbx being a proprietary Autodesk format and changing file format definitions. I know from tests with fbx exports from other programs, that this is at least partially due to blenders import plugins. Unfortunately all hierarchy is lost during import and you're basically left with a huge list of individual geometry nodes: no instances, groups, layer structure. All geometry gets imported correctly into Blender.
